Congratulations West Michigan Heat Varsity on winning the 2021 Division 1 National Homeschool Soccer Championship! The tournament was held October 21 & 22, 2021 in Murfreesboro, TN. There were 32 boy's teams from across the country that showed up to play.
The Heat went into the tournament ranked #6 determined, ready to play with heart, skill and passion. They beat the #12 ranked Fort Wayne Fusion 2-0 and the #1 ranked HSAA Angels from Dallas, TX 3-2 on Friday to win their pool. Semi-Finals brought the Heat up against the #4 ranked Indy Genesis from Indianapolis, IN and they came out with the win, 2-0.
The championship game played under the stadium lights was West Michigan Heat up against Summit Soccer from Sterling Heights, MI. The score was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and the Heat went on to win the 2021 National title in a PK shoot out. The Heat ended their season with 20 wins, 3 losses and 2 ties. Well done coaches and players!
